The Advisory Service for International Relations (ARIN) reports to the Presidency of Embrapa. ARIN is responsible for:

  • Support to the development of the institutional relationship and cooperation strategy at the international level, aligned with the State policy and Embrapa guidelines;
  • Advice for the Board of Directors on the implementation of corporate strategies related to international institutional relationship and cooperation;
  • Guidance and support for managers of Central and Decentralized Units in implementing international cooperation actions;
  • Pursuing international cooperation actions in line with State policy and Embrapa's guidelines;
  • Coordinating the performance and definition of institutional positions at international level;
  • Advising the Brazilian government in conventions, agreements, protocols, treaties, commissions, and global forums;
  • Coordinating and guiding negotiations with government bodies regarding international loans and financial agreements;
  • Defining strategies and guidelines to meet demands for international technical and scientific cooperation with the private sector alongside other areas concerned.
  • Defining, guiding, and monitoring the role of the international coordinator within the scope of the Decentralized Units as a fundamental player in the implementation and monitoring of international cooperation activities in the Units.
  • Articulating, guiding, and participating in the preparation of project proposals to be submitted to international funding agents with the Board of Directors and Embrapa Units.
  • Promoting and publicizing actions in the international arena to both Embrapa's Central and Decentralized Units and national and international partners.
  • Coordinating and defining guidelines for the corporate process for short-term leaves from the country.
