Long-fiber GM (transgenic) cultivar with resistance to the herbicide glyphosate and to the main species of caterpillars that attack cotton plants, with the Bollgard II Roundup Ready Flex (B2RF) technology. An average-sized cultivar with a long cycle, it is recommended for the start of the crop season in the states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Goiás and in the Matopiba region. In the semi-arid region, it is recommended for the states of Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte and Pernambuco, where the cycle is shorter and considered medium-length. It has a high yield potential (above 4,500 kg/ha) and approximately 42% of fiber yield. Its fiber has high tenacity (>34 gf/tex) and length above 32 mm, and thus is classified as long, when weather conditions are favorable. It has resistance to angular leaf spot (bacteriosis), blue disease and common mosaic (viruses).    This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
