With degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (1990), he obtained a Master's degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Pelotas (1994) and Doctor of Agronomy (Crop Science) at the Federal University of Lavras (1999) with MBA in Project Management by São Paulo University (2021). He is currently researcher at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), on Center for Temperate Climate Agricultural Research (Pelotas, RS). He was researcher of Embrapa Grape and Wine since 1998 to 2018 where worked as Administration Manager (2000-2003), General Chief (2004-2008), Supervisor of Communication and Business (2008-2011) and Transfer of Technology Manager (2011-2018). From 2013 to 2021, he was president of the Management Committee of Corporative Portfolio on Safety foods, nutrition and health. Currently, he is Gerente Geral de Portfólios and Programas de PD I from Embrapa. He has experience in agronomy, with emphasis on crop science of temperate fruit trees, mainly in the following themes: food safety production, certification protocols and technology of temperate fruit orchards.
