ROBERTO PEDROSO DE OLIVEIRA graduated in Agronomic Engineering at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ-USP) in 1990; MSc and PhD in Sciences, Nuclear Energy in Agriculture, University of São Paulo (CENA-USP), respectively in 1993 and 2002; and postdoctoral studies at the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIA) in Valencia, Spain, in 2011. He is level B2 by the English language proficiency test TOEFL ITP. He has been a researcher at Embrapa for 24 years. From 1994 to 2002, he was a researcher at Embrapa Mandioca and Fruticultura (Cruz das Almas-BA), and he worked as a collaborator at the Instituto Agronômico (IAC) from 1998 to 2002, doing research work on the PhD thesis. Since 2002, he is Researcher at Embrapa Clima Temperado (Pelotas-RS). Currently, he is a Research Fellow at CNPq's Technological Development and Extension 1C Innovative Extension; postgraduate collaborator at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS); member of the National Institute of Genomic Science and Technology for Citrus Breeding (INCT Citros); of the Committee of the National Chamber, Sectorial and Thematic of Citriculture, in Brasilia; of the Sectorial Chamber of the Citrus Productive Chain of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre; of the Sectoral Chamber of the Caí Valley Citrus Production Chain in Montenegro; the National Technical Commission for Integrated Citrus Production in Brasília (MAPA) and the State Commission for Integrated Production of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre (MAPA). He is a reviewer of 17 indexed journals. In indexed journals, he published 106 complete articles; in annals of events, published 68 complete articles / expanded abstracts and 131 simple abstracts. Has authored in 40 articles of magazines or news newspapers. He is the author of 70 books, 48 #8203;#8203;chapters of books and 55 other types of bibliographic publication. It has participation in: 90 technological products, with emphasis on the registration in the RNC / MAPA of 54 cultivars of citrus, potato and sweet potato; 1 protected citrus cultivar at the SNPC / MAPA; 43 processes or techniques; 240 technical works; and other 385 items of technical production. Participated in 257 events, organizing 209. He participated in 11 masters examinations, 8 doctoral and 10 qualification exams. He co-supervised 8 master's dissertations, 3 doctoral dissertations and 2 postdoctoral dissertations. He directed 3 students of specialization, 43 students of scientific initiation, 22 works of conclusion of graduation course and 62 students of another nature. Currently, it has 3 co-oriented Masters and 1 oriented scientific initiation. Received 14 awards. Between 1991 and 2017, he participated in / participated in 78 projects of research, technological development and / or extension, coordinating / coordinating 29 of these projects. He currently works in the research and extension areas, with emphasis on participatory genetic improvement, production of seedlings in a protected environment and systems of integrated and organic production of fruits and citrus essential oils, with a significant role in promoting the technologies developed with the productive chain, including incubating nurseries and fruit producing companies. In this sense, participated in 64 radio programs and 77 TV programs, and organized 73 training courses. In his professional activities he interacted with 1,136 employees.
