Graduated in Forestry Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (1996), Master's degree in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1999) and a PhD in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from the Federal University of Viçosa (2003), specializing in Forest Pathology. The master's thesis and the doctoral thesis were on forest pathosystem, having studied the disciplines Forest Pathology, Methods in Phytopathology, Virology, Mycology, Nematology, Bacteriology, Epidemiology, Diagnosis and Control of Plant Diseases, Plant Genetic Improvement and Plant Resistance. Plants to Diseases, among others. He is currently a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, where he is dedicated to the Genetic Improvement of Hevea spp. for disease resistance and rubber production. By invitation, he contributes to the Genetic Improvement project of Arachis spp. forage, specifically in the study of the interaction of the nematode Meloidogyne javanica x Arachis spp. with the aim of selecting appropriate plants for the breeding program and began work on the witches' broom x Theobroma grandiflorum pathosystem with TED/MAPA and EMBRAPA-SEG resources. Also by invitation, he will work on the study of soybean and corn diseases in the 2024-2025 cycle in Acre.
