Adeney de Freitas Bueno has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Faculty of Agronomy Manoel Carlos Gonçalves - UNIPINHAL (1998), a master's degree in Agricultural Entomology from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP/Jaboticabal, SP) (2001), a doctorate in Entomology from the University of São Paulo (USP/Ribeirão Preto, SP) (2004) and a post-doctorate in Botanical Insecticides from the University of Catania (Italy) in 2024/25. He completed a sandwich doctorate in 2003 at the University of Nebraska, USA (2003), as a Fulbright scholar (2003). He has been an entomology researcher at Embrapa Soja, focusing on Integrated Pest Management, Bioinputs, and Biological Control, since 2006. He also served as Head of Research and Development for two years, from 2022 to 2024. He holds a CNPq 1D research productivity grant, is a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ABCA), and is an associate editor of the scientific journals Entomologia Generalis, CABI Agriculture and Biosciences Journal, and Neotropical Entomology. He also serves as a professor and advisor for master's and doctoral programs in Entomology at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and Agronomy at the State University of Londrina. He is the author of several books on Entomology and has published more than 150 articles in scientific journals. He chaired the XVI Biological Control Symposium (Siconbiol) in Londrina, Paraná, in 2019 with 800 participants and the IX Brazilian Congress of Soybeans and Mercosoja, which was held in 2022 in Foz do Iguaçu with 1800 participants.
