Environmental Engineer with a PhD in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition from the Federal University of Viçosa. He currently serves as a Global Climate Change researcher at Embrapa Vegetables and holds a Level C productivity fellowship in technological development and innovative extension by CNPq. He has conducted research on climate change mitigation, resilience, adaptation, sustainable development, rural sanitation, soil science, and impact assessment of newly developed technologies.Recently integrated into the Space Farming Brazil network, he works to position Brazil in space agriculture research. He possesses experience in developing technological assets and has focused on the interface between Geographic Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, prompt engineering, and command chaining to generate CMIP6-based climate scenarios and produce risk and vulnerability maps for vegetable crops.He also contributes to the design, implementation, and execution of public policies on the environment, sustainable development, and climate emergency. He served as Chair of the Vegetables Portfolio Management Committee and as a member of Embrapas Climate Change Portfolio Committee. He is currently part of the Resilient and Sustainable Farming Systems Portfolio and the companys Permanent Space Agriculture Committee.He advises Embrapas Research and Development Directorate for the Embrapa-FGV Carbon Alliance and CCarbon/USP, and previously chaired the Local Environmental Management Committee at Embrapa Vegetables. He is now Executive Secretary of the Local Sustainability Committee, a member of Embrapas SDG Network Management Committee, and Focal Point for the SDG and GEOINFO Networks at Embrapa Vegetables.Externally, he participates in the Rural Sanitation Thematic Chamber and the Federal District ABC+ Plan Management Committee. Since early 2024, he has served as Adjunct Professor in the Professional Masters Program in Water Engineering at the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI). He served as an expert reviewer for the IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Cities (SRCITIES) and is currently part of the group of expert reviewers for the IPCC SLCF report first order draft.
