Researcher at Embrapa Dairy Cattle, with a degree in Veterinary Medicine (University of Brasília), master in Animal Pathology (UNESP/ Jaboticabal) and a PhD in Basic and Applied Immunology (Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo), and postdoctoral training in Molecular Immunology (University of Brasília). She works on the development of biotechnologies applied to bovine health and sustainability, with a focus on innovative solutions for dairy and beef production systems.The main research lines investigate the immunological and molecular mechanisms associated with resistance and susceptibility to infectious and parasitic diseases in cattle, with particular emphasis on the tickhost interaction (Rhipicephalus microplus) and on the development of biocompatible and sustainable immunobiological products as alternatives to the intensive use of chemotherapeutic agents. These technologies are developed in partnership with the productive sector, universities, and science and technology institutes.Member of the Internal Technical Committee (CTI) of Embrapa Dairy Cattle (20222025) and as Head of the Animal Health and Milk Quality Unit at the same Research Center (20232025). She currently coordinates several research projects funded by CNPq, FAPEMIG, Finep, and Embrapa, and has been a member of the Management Committee of the Multiuser Laboratory for Bioefficiency and Sustainability of Livestock (LMBS) since 2021.Actively involved in human resource training through student supervision and research development in applied immunology, cell biology, and molecular genetics, contributing to improved productive efficiency and animal health. Her research is primarily focused on innate and adaptive immune responses, including mechanisms of local and systemic inflammatory activation, using transcriptomic approaches (RNA-Seq), gene network analysis, and cellular models to identify candidate genes, biomarkers, and sustainable strategies for sanitary control in livestock production systems.
