Agronomist Engineer, holding a Masters and Ph.D. in Agriculture (Crop Science) from the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences at São Paulo State University (Unesp/Botucatu), currently serves as General Head of Embrapa Territorial. With a distinguished career in agricultural research and management, he has served as a university professor and researcher specializing in agricultural inputs. He joined Embrapa in 2012, initially at Embrapa Amapá, where he contributed to the Technology Transfer sector. His research focused on cultivar competition, production systems, crop rotation, and Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration (ILPF). Since 2015, he has been based at Embrapa Territorial (Campinas, SP), leading strategic projects on Agricultural Macrologistics, Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), and Territorial Intelligence and Management Systems for the Caatinga and Cerrado biomes. As a manager, he has led teams in both Embrapa units, showcasing leadership and excellence in project coordination. He serves as a reviewer for 23 scientific journals and funding agencies, and has authored one book, 89 peer-reviewed articles, 8 book chapters, and presented over 300 technical-scientific lectures and works at national and international events, establishing his prominence in the academic and technical fields.
