Researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa Café (Brazilian Coffee Research Corporation). Holds a Doctorate in Sciences with a concentration in Animal Science and Pastures from ESALQ/USP (University of São Paulo's Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture) (2010) with a thesis titled - Brachiaria brizantha forage production: adaptation, generation, and evaluation of empirical and mechanistic models for estimating forage accumulation. Was a Post-Doctoral fellow (CNPq - National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) at Embrapa Southeast Livestock (2013). Worked as a permanent professor at the Federal Institute of Goiás - Ceres Campus - teaching undergraduate courses in Forage Production, Annual Crops I, Experimental Statistics, and Basic Statistics. Coordinated the research projects - "Biophysical interactions in integrated crop-livestock-forestry (iLPF) and crop-livestock (iLP) production systems in Rondônia (2015-2017)," "Sustainability indicators for silvopastoral and agropastoral systems in the southwestern Amazon region (2017-2022)," and "Validation of technologies aimed at pasture recovery in the state of Rondônia (2017-2022)." Participated in the technological development project - "Arbopasto Software: for planning the inclusion of the tree component in integrated crop-livestock-forestry (iLPF) systems using native species from the Western Brazilian Amazon" funded by the Bank of the Amazon. Coordinated the Soil and Plant Analysis Laboratory of Embrapa Rondônia. Held a management position at Embrapa as Deputy Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Rondônia. Co-supervises graduate students in the Regional Development and Environment Program (PGDRA) at the Federal University of Rondônia (UNIR). Currently is based at the State University of Southwest Bahia - UESB, integrating the Coffee Research Consortium coordinated by Embrapa Café.
